RECESS SHOULD NEVER BE TAKEN AWAY

        Almost everyday my class is stuck in line because we were talking in class and I wonder why does recess get taken away so easily? Don’t teachers realize exercise is critical for kids? Recess time is a time to run around and if we don’t get enough time it affects our performance in class. Besides that we are also losing our friendships. Sometimes recess is the only chance we get to talk to some friends.

        Recess should never be taken away because kids need exercise. Michelle Obama our first lady says “kids are should have 60 minutes of exercise each day. Also recess is a time for kids to practice sports. Someone might have a big game coming up and they want to practice at school, but if we lose recess that person won’t get to do that.

        Another reason recess should never be taken away is it affects our performance. Everyone knows when kids go out to recess they start to run around and then we get really hyper. So when we go back into the school and start learning again we get very loud. We are also talking a lot. So if we had a longer recess we would get all tired out. Then after we came in we wouldn’t be as loud and wouldn’t talk so much.

        The final reason recess shouldn’t be taken away is because we are losing our friendships. A lot of kids have friends in different classes, but no one gets the time to talk to them, but recess. Even in the lunchroom because we are only aloud to talk to the people at our table. So we only get to see our friends at recess and the more time we owe the less time we get to talk to our friends and every one likes to talk to their friends. So why not give us more time.

        I know we get our recess taken away for a reason, but sometimes we deserve a second chance. Besides nobody would want to sit in a chair and work all day. Right
