Dear Ms Feeney,

I think too much homework is not good for kids. It causes stress and also prevents you from playing outside. Lastly, it tires you out for the next day of school. I think kids should do their homework, but if they have too much they could forget and get an oops slip.

Homework stresses you out because you get all mad that you have so much. You feel mad and you want to yell at your parents.  But mostly, is that you will feel mad at yourself because you spent all night on it and you didn’t get to play outside.

Another reason is that you waste time away from school.  If you didn’t have a lot of homework you could have played outside, go do sports and spend more time with your family and friends.  I think that fourth graders would love to do all of those things.

The last reason is that you’ll be more interested in school because you won’t stay up late doing your homework.  You can listen more, pay attention more, and be more awake for P.E., art, music and library.

I think that if we, the fourth graders, had less homework we could be more active, not waste time out of school and not get stressed out.

                                                                      Sincerely,

         Mr. Sam Gualtieri
