Recess
Should Never Be Taken Away

Imagine
a school without recess. Homework not complete, it would be awful. Well, that’s
my school, Joshua Eaton. Recess should never be taken away. Because exercise is
critical, it affects our performance if it’s taken away, and we are losing our
friendships.
First, recess should never be taken away
because exercise is critical. Our first lady, Michelle Obama, says we need to
get 60 minutes of exercise every day. We get 30-45 minutes only on P.E. days.
30 on Wednesday because have recess on half days. 45 minutes on Tuesday because
of a 15 minute recess period and 30 minutes of P.E.. Exercise is also critical
because we need to get more fit. Micelle also says we have the fattest people
in the whole world. Another reason why exercise is critical is because exercise
keeps healthy.
Next, recess should never be taken away
because it affects our performance if it’s taken away. 2 boys in my class are
always cracking up after recess. It’s because we hardly have any recess. They
also never stop laughing and (well, I think) they never get any work done. Less
recess also affects our performance because we get more hyper every second.
We’ll start laughing at someone who was 1 number off of the answer to 296 divided
by 5. maybe she forgot to say the remainder. That proves we are too hyper.
Last, recess should never be taken away
because we are losing our friendships. We have to wait until recess to talk to
someone in Mrs. Lydecker’s class. It’s brudal not being able to talk to them.
Another reason why we are losing our friendships is because there is hardly any
time to talk to them. If agree, write an essay like mine. Maybe your principal
or your teachers will give you more recess time.
I agree we should have more recess! And we arn't getting enough! I love how you told the reasons why!!!
